About Sam

Sam has enjoyed a rich career helping dogs and their people since 2018. Focused on helping her clients achieve success in dog sports through comprehensive programs and coaching, Sam is motivated by seeing her clients develop strong relationships and behaviours with their dogs.

Having a love for teaching and emphasizing a fun (& thorough!) learning environment for both her two and four-legged students, Sam believes training should not only be rewarding for the handler, but also easy to understand from the dog’s perspective. While embracing this approach, Sam is able to give her clients the understanding and motivation necessary to train a ribbon-worthy dog, all while using positive, science-based, force-free methods.

When Sam isn’t helping her clients, you can find her competing in agility & scentwork competitions or training in obedience with her two Belgian Tervurens, Emilie and Jacqueline.

Whether you’re just discovering dog sports, or you’re ready to start ribbon hunting, Sam can’t wait to help you & your dog.

Libby has had great big dogs in her life. From dogs with big bodies (Winston the Cane Corso), to dogs with big personalities (Stormin’ Norman and Gus, the Chihuahuas), to her current dog with big feelings (Penny the Australian Shepherd). Penny’s Big Feelings are what led Libby to the world of dog sports.

As a competitor in Scentwork, Rally and Agility, and as a puppy foster with the BCSPCA, Libby believes in the importance of strong foundations for both dog and owner. These foundations include much more than individual components of a sport and need to be maintained throughout a team’s journey.

A life-long learner and dog-nerd at heart, Libby readily consumes all information regarding dogs and dog training that she can find from books to webinars. Committed to ongoing education, Libby is working towards a CPDT- KA (certified professional dog trainer - knowledge assessed) certificate. She has a BSc in Integrated Science with a concentration in health sciences, and a dual focus in biology and psychology. She also has training in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), embracing adult-learning principles in her teaching.

Libby currently offers drop-in scent classes and is available for consultation on behaviour issues (contact us to book).

Paige has a passion for all things dogs and, as a trainer, she wholeheartedly embraces positive, reward-based training methods, seeking to cultivate strong bonds between dogs and their human companions.

Paige’s journey into the world of training began in 2009 as an Equestrian Canada certified instructor instructing children in various equestrian events. However, it was meeting Sam Langley in 2016, while working at an emergency veterinary hospital, that marked a transformative shift into the realm of dog sports.

After being successful in various canine sporting events with her own pup, Bailey, Paige decided that she wanted to share her passion for sports and training with other people and their canine partners. Paige firmly believes that the cooperative and trusting relationship between a handler and their dog, fundamental to successful training, transcends the boundaries of sports. Whether or not sports are the ultimate goal, Paige emphasizes that the principles inherent in these activities lay the groundwork for a strong connection between human and canine.

Drawing from her educational background in psychology, hands-on experience and continuing education related veterinary industry practices and dog behavior, Paige is currently working towards completing her hours for the Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed certification.
